New Music Giants features music by John Cage, Steve Reich, Jacques Hetu,David Loeb, and VCM composers Stephen Brown and RD Wraggett, performed by members of the Conservatory’s string and guitar faculty, together with outstanding students from the Collegium Program for Young Musicians. A program for those who love new music—and for those who think they don’t!

Adrian Verdejo – New Music for Electric Guitar

Guitarist Adrian Verdejo will perform a recital of contemporary music for electric guitar including a duet with Bradford Werner.

This programme includes works by Canadian composers Scott Godin and Nicole Lizée as well as works by Eve Beglarian, Eric Schwartz, and Steve Reich’s modern classic Electric Counterpoint for live guitar and pre-recorded tape.
