PU_musician_WedmanJulia Wedman “Hip and entertaining” says the National Post. Julia is a permanent member of internationally renowned Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra. She has developed a reputation for her solo performances and is frequently showcased in concert series and tours throughout Canada, USA, (Carnegie Hall), Mexico, Europe, China, New Zealand and Korea. Julia is a violinist with the innovative baroque ensemble I Furiosi.

The Biber Sonatas are unique in music history for using the scordatura (mis-tuning) technique to help set the mood in each sonata by providing for special tone-colours, rich sonorities and many multiple stops not ordinarily obtainable on the violin. Julia visited the Biber house in Salzburg, Austria and will enthrall us with a dialogue of her experience and meaning of the music being played.
