Dowland in Dublin: La Nef, Michael Slattery

dowland-victoria

The Early Music Society of the Islands has a fantastic show coming up with tenor Michael Slattery accompanied on lute, cello, Irish flute and cittern. Fun concept too: “Could the great John Dowland have been born in Ireland? What if his songs and dances had been performed in a Dublin pub? ”

Michael Slattery: tenor, shruti-box
Sylvain Bergeron: lute
Sean Dagher: cittern
Grégoire Jeay: flute, recorder
Amanda Keesmat: cello
Alex Kehler: violin

Michael Slattery has a “voice like a warm summer day.” – Early Music America
