Classical Guitar Classes and Ensembles in Victoria, BC, Canada. I am planning a number of classes and ensembles in addition to private one-on-one lessons. Currently there is the Classical Guitar Performance Class, Intermediate Ensemble, and Youth Ensemble. All classes are for classical guitar (acoustic, nylon string, in the classical style).

Studio Policy
My studio is positive and encouraging and I expect students to treat each other in this way as well. The spread of illness is discouraged by lesson cancellations and rescheduling to respect the needs of students, teachers, and immunosuppressed students and family members. My studio is an inclusive and supportive environment for all students and is LGBTQ2S+ friendly.
Classical Guitar Performance Class
A weekly performance opportunity with a small amount of feedback from Bradford. This will be a super positive and supportive group setting and an opportunity to refine a piece and build confidence. Most likely Thursday evenings. Pending enrolment so contact me if interested.
Ensembles
I just moved back to Victoria so these ensembles may take some time to develop. Usually I build an ensemble with my students as the core and also other students in collaboration with their teachers. However, please contact me if interested as I can take your name down for project invitation.
Youth Ensemble
An opportunity for youth students to rehearse in a coached ensemble. The approximate level will be grade 2 with students of similar age. This is a fun and positive group but will also require students to be prepared for rehearsals and to dedicate study time. Students must audition every year. Intermediate Ensemble
An opportunity for intermediate students to rehearse in an ensemble along with more advanced players. I will play in the group and coach the ensemble. Size of the group and level will change each term so do not plan to take part every term. Bringing repertoire to recording/performance level will be of primary interest. VCM Guitar Orchestra
If you are looking for a community guitar orchestra for all levels, you can check out the VCM Guitar Orchestra directed and coached by Douglas Hensley. I taught the orchestra for years before Doug and I’m happy to see it continue. I believe you can join any time and it’s a very friendly group.
